  1. Panel 1

A building site. A nurse waves urgently while a site foreman in a hard hat protests.

Nurse: Quick! The baby is coming!

Foreman: But the hospital is not even finished!

  2. Panel 2

A little later. A doctor holds up a newborn with Rassie’s face, pointing off to one side.

Baby Rassie: Then why is the maternity ward over there?

  3. Panel 3

Already a plan. The baby holds up a floor plan marked Beds and Casualty while the staff stare.

Baby Rassie: Beds here. Casualty there. Better flow.

  4. Panel 4

Many years later. A grown Rassie stands on the site with rolled plans under his arm, pointing.

Rassie: Widen the corridor. Add another wing. Think three phases ahead.

  5. Panel 5

Grand opening. An official addresses Rassie in front of the finished hospital and a clapping crowd.

Official: So you built the hospital you were born in?

  6. Panel 6

Full circle. Rassie looks back at the finished hospital, satisfied.

Rassie: Ja. I was born there… but someone still had to finish the job.
