In a lounge lit by the TV, Oom Kallie is caught halfway out of his armchair reaching for a bowl of chips as the room erupts, and Tannie Marietjie points at him.

Tannie Marietjie: KALLIE. DON’T. MOVE.

Nearly an hour later everyone is frozen: Oom Kallie still hovering and trembling, Lerato holding a chip halfway to the dip, and the dog stopped mid-step.
Caption: 61st minute.
Oom Kallie: I can’t feel my legs.
Lerato: Your legs are winning this match, Oom.

At the final whistle Tannie Marietjie and Lerato leap up cheering while Oom Kallie lies flat on the carpet, exhausted, and the dog licks his face.
